Capture the moment!
We've had a lot of rain today. It's been on and off, but quite heavy at times. I wanted to go for a walk in the woods near Gilsland but when the rain eased it was too late for me to go that far.
I set out by car, heading for Crow Woods. It was cold - only 7 degrees - and raining. I realised that I had not brought the towel for the camera. Duh.
I drove towards home, then the skies cleared a bit to the east. At St Cuthbert's Church, Heavenfield, I photographed the bales of hay in the field below (see extra). "All is safely gathered in", I thought. Then a rainbow appeared, blossomed and disappeared. I just caught it and the lovely line of clouds behind.
Otherwise, I've been at home doing this and that. Mum's cough continues but she is rattling less than yesterday. Roll on recovery we both say.
I also gave a little bit of computer advice to Margret. We moved images from an SD card onto the computer and then formatted the card. Satisfying? Yes.
