Obviously this is Mister Whisper with a little "help" from my ever-trusty PicMonkey.

THE SAGA OF THE SUITCASE.

I will try to precis this as it's a bit long-winded:

Thursday 

- 1.30pm  -  set off, drive to airport (80 miles) to pick up parents-in-law .... f-i-l had taken a tumble in Spain resulting in numerous injuries and him being unable to drive home

-  4.30pm  -  they arrive, both in wheelchairs along with one carry-on and two matching suitcases.

-  6.45pm -  arrive at their house (82 miles)

-  7.15pm  -  drinking tea, the phone rings, it's Jet2 holidays .... " Hello Mr R, this is Jet2 at the airport, it appears you have taken the wrong suitcase "
We check - one of them is, indeed, not theirs although it's an identical case, with an identical red strap .....
The Jet2 lady  " It is your responsibility to get that suitcase to it's rightful owner and then you can collect yours from the airport " 
Father-in-law now getting flustered.   I take the phone and, after a lot of argy-bargy and "against protocol" they agree that we can go to the airport, collect ''our'' suitcase and I will deliver the mistaken suitcase to it's owner who lives bl**dy miles away!

8.30pm  -  82 miles back to the airport - collect a suitcase and offer an apology as well as sight of my driving licence in case they think I am going to abscond with some strangers grubby undies and socks!!!

9.45pm  -  35 miles and a number of wrong turns (think movie of the same name!!)  -  deliver said suitcase to a bungalow in the middle of deepest, darkest Leicestershire, in the pitch black.

11.45pm  -  100 miles later  -  arrive home!

379 miles and ten and a quarter hours!!  Aaaaargh ...... and I had to be up at 05.30 the next morning to drive to London and back in a giant-sized van (the sort you need a ladder to climb into!)

What a jolly day was had by all!  NOT!
