Floodlit Fountains Abbey

We enjoyed a trip to Fountains Abbey which is floodlit on every Saturday in October. It was incredibly busy with long queues for the barbecue.

There was a choir singing which added to the atmosphere. Managed to leave before the rain set in.

Arrived home to find youngest son Thomas with a black eye having been on the receiving end of an unprovoked punch at the end of his rugby match. The player who came to his aid was also punched. Needless to say the player was red carded. The team from Hull has a reputation for being violent - can't help feeling they should be given a clear message about their conduct.
