So up for the boys after their return from Devon; and straight out for a rummage around in Leith; Cigs hunting and cereal shopping.
Then home for a quiet hour before we had a sharp lunch and up to hers; checked the lad's bike (straightforward fix) and then dropped them in town.
We went off to get Tall Paul and Gav (Mr T) and off for Scottish Cup Round 2 action - Linlithgow Rose v Stirling Albion. We're without a manager and 2 wins all season; away to non league opposition? A hiding beckoned, surely? As Tom remarked not only had he not seen a Stirling win, he hadn't yet even seen a Stirling goal...!
We arrived, got the two boys in for the price of one; and promptly bought them a programme and a pie each before taking up a spot on the grass behind the goal.
They started brightly but we sneaked ahead after some good work down the left wing.
Hemmed back, we held on til half time, and a wander about, chatting to old friends was nice.
Second half we weathered the storm and nicked a couple more goals; then back to town for fish pie. Alex on finishing it got up and came round the table, threw his arms round my neck and kissed me,
!!!!!
So a gentle evening in was nice. Round 3 away to Spartans would be nice?
Extras are Paul at the pub, Alex with his gappy teeth, Tom watching intently and Tom after the 3rd goal went in.
