Spider today

I think this is an orb weaver but I am not good at spiders. It was on a web, a messy web, on the corral gate. It obligingly ran up a thread and settled on the post so that I could see the dorsal surface as well as the ventral, which I had seen when it was hanging on the web.

Another lovely day. All the mowing is done and things really look tidy, briefly
