The calm before the Christmas storm

Well, in a month's time, Edinburgh's Christmas Markets will be up and running.  Princes Street gardens will be a myriad of brightly-lit wooden huts selling all kinds of wares - hot chocolate, candied almonds, wooly scarves, tree decorations, candles, pot-pourri etc etc.  I love all that but in the meantime I will just take a moment to enjoy this beautiful autumn canvas whilst I can.
