Harald the Heron

I see this fella many times on my way home from work.  He thinks he's well hidden in this small weir surrounded by hanging tree branches but I spotted him. I know the areas he tends to linger, so I always keep an eye out for him.  He is a much photographed bird and seems to strike a pose for the cameras, stretching his neck and raising his beak into the air like a King in his castle.  He has a lovely home in the Water of Leith.
