A tiny flash of red on the trunk of the apple tree at the bottom of the garden means a Green Woodpecker (which doesn't really make sense but there you go!).
Taken through the glass on the back door - Mr Woodpecker is very skittish.  He did sit there for a good while though however I struggled to get a better glimpse than this.

For MonoMonday yesterday I stalked a double pillarbox  ....... which can be seen here ...... not that many of them about these days.
