Plover Scar Lighthouse :-(

I  blipped Plover Scar lighthouse in February  -  before the accident. :-(

It was reported that it collided with a ship, which must have been an attempted insurance scam of some kind. Lighthouses do not crash into ships! I am told that the captain of the ship has now lost his pilot licence.

The top, which was damaged and shifted to one side, has been removed and the lighthouse is under extensive repair.  A slow job because they can only work with the tide. It was first constructed in 1847.
