Day 1 - The Wishing Well Band Tour UK/EU
Oh no, I think this will count as a backblip...
it is 01.59... Internet signal has been bad on the trains today...
I have been on the train all day travelling from Laurencekirk to Worcester which I have to pronounce "near-bir-ming-ham" as I can't say it! Jai funnily pointed out how half of the word is silent! What is with that?! Almost as funny as in Hello Dolly on Saturday night (see previous blips) the main thing everyone kept getting wrong was the main characters name "vandergerber"... English language and spelling confuse me SOO bad!! - I don't get it?! Why spell it Worcester if it's Said Wooster.... That's like Berkshire being barkshire..! How are the Scottish meant to cope!!
Anyway, arrived at Wooostertertervangerberger something shrub hill train station and met 4 other members of the band, loaded our stuff into the band tour bus and headed on our way to the house we are staying at - the band so far consists of two Aussies (one of which originally from the US) and two Hungarian! Almost like a bad joke! The cultural differences are so funny so far... Like Gurgley freaking out at Jai driving on the wrong side of the road... To then as Riv how you pronounced "Jai" her response - like "vagina, you will never forget now..." although... None of us have mastered saying "gurgoo" instead we are calling him "gurgely" or "gurgling"... It is a good thing music is the same in every language ;)
Just to let all you blippers know I am safe and have not had any of my organs sold As the previous bassist Tomaz left a message in Hungarian on the inside of the van for the new hungarian members that (in hungarian) Jai and Riv will sell your organs run for your life with an arrow pointing to the emergency exit sign!
I'm going to get some zzz's as I'm shattered, we've just had a rock and roll cup of tea and jam session before bed...
