Kjøkøy Fort

On Kjøkøya Island there is a fort built by the Germans in the 2nd World War to protect the entrance to Frederikstad. After the war it was taken over by the Norwegian Defence. It is a fascinating area to wander round and scenic because it is surrounded by islands.  The extra shows some fortification. No1 son cannot resist the opportunity to skim stones .
