Carol: Rosie & Mr. Fun

Home All Day

Just a relaxed casual day -- so relaxed I almost missed capturing a photo. This is a fairly crummy look at our view.

It's still quite hot here, so we just chilled indoors in the air conditioning most of the day. We did start the day by giving each of the pooches a bath. This is always a stressful moment for the K9s. For the two of us it is some work, but also some laughter and certainly the feeling of accomplishment. Now all three of these characters are so wonderful to hold and pet.

I had to crawl almost under our bed in the master bedroom to get little Chloe. She realized before I had secured her that it was just about to be bath time. She usually gets the first bath; today she was last.

Late in the afternoon Mr. Fun decided to check the pool chemicals and brush the walls. During this high heat the algae can grow rapidly, so keeping the chemicals in balance and brushing the walls is extremely important.

While he worked on the pool I did a quick dash to the grocery store. Supplies here were getting low and we've decided to keep the refrigerator fairly empty so if and when we take off for a few nights, there won't be an abundance of food, especially produce, going bad.

Good night from Southern California.
Rosie (& Mr. Fun), aka Carol

P.S. This is Julia Child's 100th birthday -- Happy Birthday Julia. I think this calls for cake! Woohoo!!!
