All Aboard
We drove to San Luis Obispo today because we needed to get to a store that sells the brand of dog kebble our three pups eat. We also thought about getting "bark collars" because they have been so rowdy lately (we think it is a small dog "complex" to act like they want to attack every other dog that comes within 100 yards). We decided that solution is entirely too expensive. So we need to find some other solution to decrease the barking.
We stopped for lunch -- first we bought some sandwiches and chips at the "House of Bread" and then drove to a lovely park that was new to us -- Laguna Lake Park. We located it by looking on the Internet. We ate our lunch and then walked the pups. The park lives up to its name -- it has a lovely lake.
As we were leaving SLO we decided to turn onto a street we hadn't used before and slowly found ourselves in the Historic Railroad District. Mr. Fun had wanted to see the train station, especially since many years ago we had come through here on the train on our way to Eugene, Oregon, to meet-up with a group of bicyclists on Oregon's coast and then pedal our way to San Francisco. Well, it just so happened that both the northbound and then the southbound trains were about to arrive. So lots of excitement and people everywhere during the 20 or so moments that we were there.
It was good to locate the train station because we have discussed the possibility of coming to the Central Coast on the train. So now we know just exactly where we'd be getting off the train.
After that we got on the #101 Freeway north and drove to Atascadero and took the exit there back to Morro Bay. Once we arrived in Morro Bay, we stopped at Miner's Ace Hardware to get a few things for the backyard and then we made a quick stop at Spencer's Market to get some items for dinner.
So we were out most of the day just doo-dahing and having a fun relaxed day.
Once we were home, I cooked us a taco dinner and we watched the sunset. We did not take the pups for a walk to the beach because we had been out all day.
Good night from the Central Coast.
