Waiting for the Vanpool

This is 6:45 AM, the corner of 39th and Hawthorne. One sees errant shoes fairly often in a city, but I was taken with this pair, abandoned by the bus stop. Did their owner decide to go barefoot from that moment further?

After work I went on a bike ride, reclaiming some of the day for myself.
