The Circuit Rider

When I saw the title of this statue, I thought it referred to a judge, who rode to different counties to hear cases. Reading the words on this picture I see it refers to religious riders. I pass him on the way to meet my vanpool and I feel like a circuit rider, travelling the hundred miles to do this job. The morning commute is simple and I close my eyes and listen to the radio on my I Pod. However, on the way back, each day we have become ensnared in traffic at the exit for the Ross Island Bridge and we sit in silence as the driver, who is one of us, takes us thru various evasive maneuvers to try and get on this bridge. The minutes tick by and we endure. It is some kind of lesson. I don't know what.
