Lilies

..with apologies to those of you who are allergic!

Bit of a grot day today, isn't it, so I thought I'd do an inside shot of the lilies my son gave me at the weekend, before they fade. Here they are plonked in my studio conservatory. I was trying less for a flower portrait, more for an balance of tones, colours and diagonals.

Hope you're all having a great day. I am tasked with cooking a specially good fish pie for supper tonight for my lovely friends and even have some champagne on ice. Should be a good evening.
