British Summertime

Summer wouldn't be complete without a deluge of golf ball sized rain drops would it?

Golfing tomorrow am and this weather is definitely not conducive to balls skipping off the fairway and rolling hundreds of yards. Instead, I envisage lots of hacking and zig zagging around the course.

Managed to do a titchy bit of work this morning; even that minuscule amount has made me feel marginally better. It was mostly reading if I'm honest - trying to get my head around the English iGCSE so I can start planning some lessons. We're going to try and teach the whole exam course, including completion of coursework in the first 6 weeks of term, after which the students sit the actual exam in October - are we mad???

I'll stop talking shop now. Apologies to any teachers I may have upset by mentioning the dreaded W word in the middle of the school holidays!
