Greyfriar's Kirkyard

This week's suitable challenge theme is 'TOMBSTONES'. I had a lot of fun in graveyards today. In the morning I went to two church graveyards in Leith and took photos of old and interesting headstones. In the afternoon I was in the city centre and popped into Greyfriar's Church and its graveyard famous for the headstones for both Greyfriar's Bobby and his owner. The headstones here are tremendously intricate and grandiose compared to those in Leith, as in this photo. There are numerous individual family vault areas such as in the extra. It's a fascinating place, so no wonder I encountered at least 4 tour groups while I was there.
