Another often overlooked bird
den PloverlAll too often one doesn't sit and look at Golden Plovers. There are so many here and they don't instantly catch the eye. In Summer a different thing as they shine black, gold and white in your face. This time of year however they are a much more subtle proposition and blend into their background. They do repay a second look however as I hope this image shows. And then there is always a chance of one of the rarer species too....
Another early start getting Tricia to school and then getting the strimmer into action to attack the verdant pasture that is our garden. Sadly still plenty to do.
