Game Day
For the first time ever I missed Fraser play today but Mimi was selected for Scotland Solway Under 16's today and whilst she and I were in Dumfries the bold boy was playing for Killie against Belfast at home.
Text updates going each way but Fraser it turns out was slashed on the wrist in the first period but played on until near the end of the third when he he had no feeling in his wrist that swollen and going to bruise beautifully. He was taken by the team manager for the medics to look at, they suspect nothing broken and he is iced and very sore tonight.
Mimi played the second half of the game today sharing duties with her 15 year old team mate. She was outstanding, she out played her much older and much more experience team mate bringing praise from the opposition head coach who said she was exceptional and also from the referee who gave her the game puck for in his words she was out Brilliant, and he's meant to be impartial.
She only conceded two goals this afternoon, one a ripper that she had no chance with the second, in all honest was pretty soft, she got her glove on it but didn't hold it and in it went.
Here we see here ready for a face off near the end of the game, if you look closely the you can see the referees arm with the puck ready to drop
I am so proud of both of the guys for their grit and hard work
