The Black Swan
An afternoon at Bentley Wild Fowl & Motor Museum, and motability scooters were available to hire so mum was let loose! She's never driven a car, but she took to it like a duck to water - pardon the pun! She had a couple of scrapes - one of which was a gate, but on the whole she did really well. Of course, both Alan and myself had to have a go!
We had lunch in the tea rooms when we finally arrived and that's a long story in itself! We left home at 11.15am and drove via Newhaven, but the swing bridge was up and the traffic was backed up and not moving, so we turned round and headed in the other direction. By the time we were at the traffic lights at Rottingdean it was 12pm - only 5 minutes from home!
There were some amazing ducks, but my favourites of the day were the black swans and the flamingos, so I struggled with which to blip, but it's not often you see the black swan so that's my choice.
It's been a lovely day and we've laughed a lot - tomorrow, we have a Belgian Blip Meet in Brighton! Petit Frere is coming to visit with his family :-)
