Garrogie

Very warm and dry today back at Garrogie.

The lower reaches of our survey site took us right down to the banks of the Fechlin River. This is a four mile water course which, with hydro-electric intervention, drains Loch Killin in to Loch Ness. In the distance you can just make out the impressive buttress which overhangs the west side of Loch Killin. You don't see the Fechlin in this shot which is taken just above the flood plain on the west bank. The photo was a slightly optimistic one towards the sun but I like the look of shadows coming towards you.
