Chicken and Much Room.....

If I ever win the lottery (if I ever remember to buy a ticket!) then I will definitely get a smallholding (which reminds me of a story about the ex, for some reason or other...) and keep chickens, ducks and geese.

Years ago, when my friend and I owned a shop, we were lent a massive fibreglass chicken for our Easter window. It was at least six feet high, scarlet and yellow, and was quite an attraction for the brief time we had it.

The Scotsman newspaper even wrote an article about it, with the headline 'Is This the Biggest Cock in Edinburgh?' I was quite shocked. (Well, I would have been , if I hadn't tipped them off about it in the first place......)
