Octopus Stinkhorn

An acquaintance of mine - and something of a mycological expert - heard about my report of 'dozens' of these appearing in one small woodland patch. He made a round trip of 120 miles to see them yesterday. Apparently my estimate of 'dozens' should have been 'approximately 420'. Well I have news for him - I found another group less than a mile away this morning, growing out on the open heathland.
