Well the day has arrived when Alex and Mandy leave to join bro in the isle of man.

Another beautiful morning, but a definite breeze this morning. And, later on with the rain, it proved that yesterday's olde saying of 'mackerel sky, 3 days dry' was total codswallop! The heavens open mid afternoon! Made me wonder where do all these old sayings derive from, such as 'money for old rope'!

Work in the morning and office busy with our monthly meeting. Left the office at noon to work from home but also to see of Alex and Mandy. By now it was pouring it down.

Peter, Greg, liv and Kirsty joined me, mum and Matt to see them off. We'd bought prince stacks of sweets for the journey, but as the train pulled away we realised the sweets were still here!! We shared them out!

Back home to work and then off to gym 5.30, as needed to do a long run, long...well...5k.

Home and tea then baked a couple of cakes for our charity cake bakeathon tomorrow. Date and walnut cakes, nigella style, but think I've overdone them whilst uploading pictures of prince!!
