Day 304 of 366 - The Kinwarton Dovcote!
The image today was taken this afternoon in the Parish of Kinwarton in Warwickshire. The view is of the Kinwarton Dovecote. This building which is maintained by the National Trust was constructed during the 14th century. Features of the Dovecote include, walls that are about a metre thick that contain over 500 nesting boxes for Doves. Probably most notable however is that it still contains it's original rotating ladder which is used to reach the nesting boxes. This is one of the last remaining Dovecotes in Warwickshire.
The photo was taken using the app ProCamera on my iPhone 6.
First I used the app Snapseed to edit the photo. I cropped and Straightened the picture and applied the Tonal Contrast preset. I then Sharpened the image and applied the HDR Scape preset. I finally used the Healing function to delete the overhead telephone wires from behind the Dovecote. After this I used the app Brushstroke to apply the Oil Paint 04 painterly preset. Finally I used PhotoToaster to add the Recover Highlights preset, the Vibrant FX and a Medium Dark Vignette. I then applied the Leather frame.
