New York

The taxi picked us up at 5:30am and dropped us off at Heathrow for our 8.40am flight to New York. It took around 8 hours and my screen did not work so I was not able to watch any films ! We arrived at 11:30 am and we went straight to the hotel to check in. I'd booked the airport Holiday Inn as we are only here for two night. We then caught the train to Manhattan where we had arranged to meet Zoe and Elaine for coffee.  They then went back to their hotel as they are flying home tonight and we walked downtown. The girls were freezing as they had not brought very warm clothes do I had to buy them scarves and gloves. It didn't really do the trick and they were cold all day. We'd arranged to meet Catrin and Elen at Pedro's Mexican restaurant in Brooklyn at 6:30pm. Bibi wanted to take the subway but I convinced her that it would be quicker to walk over Brooklyn bridge. We were late getting to the restaurant. We all travelled back to Manhattan together by which time the girls were exhausted so we said our goodbyes and caught the train back to the hotel. The girls slept all the way back.
