Making the most of the great weather

We were planning to go to explore in Rotterdam. However, Abbie still woke up with a fever and a very soar throat. So we changed plans and decided to make the most of the beautiful day. I cleaned all the wood work of the shed in Goedereede and then we started treating the wood with a thick mixture of what looked like crude oil and black paint - apparently the traditional method to treat the black wood work on the island. We managed to get the street side done (as the mixture is very thick and the wood rough, it took quite a bit of muscle power to apply). That side needed the work most as it is exposed to the sun and wind most.
