Lions

we had an encounter with many of the lions of the shamwari game reserve. this lioness was in season and in the extra shot you see her being mated. the lioness with cubs were also his young. the two male lions are brothers and have recently been introduced to the park in order to improve the genetics. it is hoped they will eventually challenge this dominant male lion who at present is in his prime, we witnessed a skirmish with a pride of young lions which had the hairs on your head stand on end.
