Happy Halloween

No little kids come to our house in costume because we live out in the middle of nowhere and at the top of a steep driveway. Out has just started pouring with rain, but it probably won't stop the costumed crusaders in parts of town where the houses are closer together. The giant spiders on this house caught my eye as I drive home from the market today.

I quickly found out why I had been putting it off this morning when I finally sat down to work on my newly discovered photos. Thanks to downloading the latest iPhone update the first thing I found out is that I have no idea how to upload my photos from my phone to my computer.

Fortunately the Bit Wiz called as I was about to throw it out the window. Why, oh why do we keep being hassled to update our devices when we're perfectly happy with them the way they are? Bit Wiz says it's mostly about security, and I pointed out that I publish my pictures every day on a public forum. Why would I need extra security to put them in my computer? It's all beginning to seem a bit mad. All these inconveniences in place for our protection when we don't want them and the bad guys find a way around them almost instantly?

I think we are all beginning to lose it as this election finally, excruciatingly creeps to a close. We were awakened at 5am by a toll free call which I'm sure was election related. Dan Rather says that he goes out into nature, particularly among the trees, to get away from it and regain his bearings.I think the woods are getting rather full of us...even at 5 am.
