Overwhelming

Benmore Gardens, noon. By the time we arrived at the pond, I didn't know which way to look. We were surrounded by wonderful colour - a superfluity of beauty. This is one of the no-filter photos I took; I experimented with the HDR app but found several of the results so brightly coloured that no-one would believe them. This one shows what it actually looked like, with the dark shadows and the vivid sunlit areas making for huge contrasts and consequent richness.
