Grasses in the Wind

After lunch, we had a quite violent storm: a downpour, howling wind, and thunder! But in the late afternoon, the sun came back, although it was still rather windy. We decided to brave the wind and go on a walk.

These delicate flowering grasses were blowing in the wind, and gleaming in the sunlight, so I thought that I would see what they would turn out like in a photograph.

The plants are in one of the wild meadows of Stratfield Brake, a place that I introduced to Blipfoto on 1 October last year after discovering it the previous week. There's a further entry for 25 January 2012 that provides a little more explanation.
