Autumn sunshine

This morning has been beautiful.  I couldn't resist going over to Elford Hall Gardens to just enjoy the rich colours and textures. The allotments bear witness to the skill of the enthusiasts and the area by the river bank is stunning.

This is the approach to the wilder area, past the water tower and I loved the way the sun gave everything a sparkle.

I could hear the kingfisher but didn't catch a glimpse. The squirrel arrived by the pond to see what I wanted, and the robin was determined to scare off Barry the Bank Vole, who was pottering around but not obliging me with a good clear view.
