Stomping

Today I had a meeting in Edinburgh. I travelled by bus from Peebles and took my old route to work. It was interesting to see the changes along the route. There were many new shops and cafes in Edinburgh and the demolition of the St. James Centre has started.

I wandered through the botanical garden where the lights display was set up - I imagine it looks impressive in the dark when the lights are on. The theme of this year's light display is 'explorers' and as part of this they are projecting images of plant collectors onto some of the buildings in the garden.

It was lovely to see my old stomping ground but I am pleased to be back in Peebles in the warm and with the dinner in the oven. I hope you have all had a good Friday.
