Rhythm of the Seasons

A walk around the village as the sun falls behind the trees and the evening draws in.  People are busy preparing Bon Fire Night parties - lights, marquees and collection boxes.  Children on bikes hurry home as the light fades.  Geese call overhead and birds cry out to each other, their voices echo in the cool evening air.  The berries are plentiful this year, and with the branches and grasses, they form pretty silhouettes against the remaining light in the sky. There is so much change in the world, but there are also so many things which remain unchanged and part of the rhythm of our days and the seasons, and which give a sense of belonging and stability.
