The C-word

Since mid-October Christmas lights have been springing up all over town but have been sat in darkness in readiness for the big switch-on in two weeks' time. When I arrived for work at 7:30 a.m. I was greeted with early festive cheer as the lights around The Piazza were all illuminated. I guess they were being tested.

To continue the spirit I nipped out at lunchtime and booked a table for our team's Christmas dinner!

The blip is a wet St. George's Square as I walked back to the car at the end of the day. No Christmas lights here yet!
