The village bazaar was held today, we had a Bell Ringers table to try and recruit some new ringers to our band. We are organising a tower open morning to give an opportunity for anyone to come had 'have a go' with no commitment to learn and we had some genuine interest....but we'll see!  

We have recently been teaching a couple, who we met through Morris dancing and who happen to be one of our existing ringers neighbours,  and they are getting on so well that it has spurred us on to find more recruits.  Even with our 2 newest ringers we are still only 5......and we have 6 bells!    

We then went to Mum's for a bonfire party, no bonfire though just a few fireworks and lots of sparklers!  The writing with sparklers didn't come out too bad, some attempts were not so great but all good fun!
