Veterans

Left home at 5 to go up to see the start of the London to Brighton Veteran Car Run in Hyde Park.

A great spectacle with the old engines playing like a multitude of instruments in an orchestra. Pops, bangs, hammerings. So exciting. I love old cars anyway but even if your not interested you couldn't help but  be impressed. 

They were all off by 8 am. Except for a few sad stragglers that couldn't get started. You could almost hear the cars shouting "wait for me" plaintively after their chums disappearing down the Mall
