Going, going ...
As the sun vanished behind the hills and only the last glow was left on the far side of the Holy Loch, the temperature on the side of Glen Kin plummeted this afternoon. We started off in bright sunlight with the car assuring us it was 8ºC, but by the time we got back from our walk it was only 3º and felt it. We saw the first thin ice on the puddles in the track, and the chill was penetrating. But there are little golden larches among the advancing dark, like tiny candles ...
I love that thick slice of cloud above us - it looked like an ice cliff somewhere very cold.
