.....my card lies unopened.....

It's our 32nd wedding anniversary today....I think it's the first one we've spent apart.

The Boss is still at her Dad's.....but she's coming home tomorrow....not because any one has volunteered to relieve her of aged parent duties.....because she has sorted out something with the district nurses and social services to call every day and make sure every thing is ok.

So we are going on holiday on Saturday.....and I may just be leaving the laptop and mobile at home so no-one can get hold of us to call us back early....and my list of people who need payback has just grown a little longer. Between her Dad and her step mother there are 8 adult offspring....one lives in Germany, one is on holiday and one isn't yet fully recovered from his bike crash.....but that still leaves four ( 3 are the step-mum's own) who could have volunteered to help out....but not one of them did!
