Native American Zuni Drum

This is a hand painted drum, hide over a wood frame, painted with a four point motif and signed by S. Yatsatie in 2001. It was crafted at the Zuni Pueblo and purchased by us at a shop called ZUNI in the main street of Ruidoso in South Western New Mexico, USA. This is a wonderful store and can be found at 2314 Sudderth Drive.

The Zuni Pueblo is nestled in a scenic valley, surrounded by enchanting mesas, located about 150 miles west of Albuquerque. The main reservation is located in the McKinley and Cibola counties in the Western part of New Mexico. This is a remote area we have not yet visited.
