A Moorhen and Child.

Was at the funeral of the husband of one of the card class ladies this morning.  A lovely service celebrating his life.  A lovely man who had had a long and harrowing illness.  One of his interests was bird watching, so these shots are for you R.
On the way home I stopped by the canal and saw these Moorhens, an adult and a juvenile.  Also there was a flotilla of Mallards ( don't know the true collective name ) sailing along.  I have included this as an extra. Thanks go to Cailleach for hosting Wild Wednesday.
