Onion

I had a cooking lesson with a neighbour who told me that if I cried when chopping onions it meant I was scared of my mother - in - law (I did, I'm not). She was horrified by how big the onion pieces were which I'd chopped. "Are you feeding people or donkeys?" she asked. Big pieces = donkey food (to me = getting the job done as fast as possible)
