Taking a walk on the wild side.
J decided not to go out on the motorbike this morning, so he dropped me down the gym. Afterwards, I walked up to church, and I saw Joan, the volunteer for today. She told me a wonderful story that will restore your faith in human nature. Her husband and daughter are buried around the back of the church, near the path, and she tends it regularly. About a year ago, her g/son, who has learning difficulties, and she doesn't see very often, paid her a visit,. He loves visiting charity shops, and had bought a largish stone heart, with a lovely message on, which he paid 50p for. Joan was thrilled with it, and they placed it at the back of the grave. It was there for about a year, and then one day, it was gone. Joan was quite upset, and a young lady, who was from the Mental Health club, (which meets in the church hall on a Friday) asked her what was wrong. Joan told her the story, and thought no more of it. The next week, the young lady told Joan, she had put the story on Facebook, and a gentleman from Pontypridd, who works for a funeral directors, said he could get another stone for Joan, and was prepared to bring it down. When he comes, the Reverend is going to take their photos for the church magazine. Now isn't that a nice heart warming story?
