Painting day
Happy are the painters, for they shall not be lonely. Light and colour, peace and hope, will keep them company to the end of the day.
~Winston Churchill.
Friday has rolled around again with sunshine and some good news. The plan is to have C come home from the hospital on Monday if things continue to proceed smoothly. She's very weak and has to get her strength back and courage up to begin trusting the surgery and moving about more. We hope it's not too rushed, but we shall see how today goes.
I'm hoping to work on the background color in Nora & Gordon's painting today and enjoy the company of busy friends and brushes pushing paint about. Max had toy business going on this morning, he loves obstacles to poke and prod his toys around. Raspberrysalliebrown slept safely locked upstairs...probably crafting her blip . She hates things out of place, so the pile by the door waiting to go in the car would have troubled her anyway.
I'm longing for some days cool enough to wear some new scarves bought in Sweden and my Icelandic jumper folded and waiting...today will NOT be that day.
p.s. The bathroom door was the old side entrance door to the house before the addition. It had seen too much to be discarded, so our carpenter hung it as our new bathroom door and I painted it in a funky way. That little cloth thing sticking out where a doorknob should be is a rabbit I made from a washcloth as a very small child sitting on Nora's knee. My last successful sewing project.
For the Record,
This day came in sunny and warm with temps into the low '90s predicted.
