Everything's Tastier Back Home

Drove home for the weekend to show the parents I'm still interested in my inheritance. Got snacks and bean curd (that's real value for money) for tea on the way home. The snacks were half in my tummy by then.

The father's fashioned a pole to pick mangoes from several pvc pipes and a twisted metal rod. It's become necessary as the tree at home has gotten really tall. He got me to get at the tough and distant bunches then proceeded to show the son up by climbing the tree.

Took the mother out for dinner after plucking (and feasting on) mangoes for Japanese food.

Then a Hindustani movie about unrequited love (very refreshing plot) with the stunning Aishwarya Rai in it. Unrequited love is tough, also beautiful. It strengthens, steels resolve, gives birth to height defying fancies and throws one into chasms of despair, debilitates, is self destructive. It's a drug I have a love/hate relationship with. I hope age weans me off of it.
