A wonderful morning exploring Winchester.

We explored as far as the Castle (I need to find a name) which wasn't really a castle but a former home of the archbishop.  Unfortunately it was closed (English heritage winter opening times).  The photo shows the top of the church in the grounds of Winchester College.  So it's not just the Abbey that looks impressive.  We had a very nice and really freshly cooked pizza in Tom's Deli - small and looks a bit like a local cafe, but highly recommended.  Now having a few minutes before getting changed and making our way back to the Abbey for the Taverner event this evening.
