In the Snowy Cathedral

The soft silence of the first heavy snowfall is a privilege to experience, and so it was, this afternoon with Caroline. Almost a metre of snow has fallen in the last few days above 1,500m and it continues to come down tonight. Hmm, might have to find the skis tomorrow. It's not a bad life, living in Switzerland. We are so lucky, not a day goes by without appreciating this wonderful environment. But every year, that first snow is special, a wilderness is transformed before the tourists arrive to turn it into a playground.
