Tea Break
We had some scaffolding erected under the railway canopy the other day, (we live in part of an old railway station) as it needs some work doing to it, and also re-decorating. It's too high and too large to be able to do it from ladders and would be dangerous.
This is C (Nikonabike) and a friend from the diving club (who also happens to be a builder) taking a well-deserved tea break. They could also be looking for the "Big Cat" that has been reported today by some national newspapers as having been seen in our village. Our son sent me a message from Taipei at 7am to tell me about the big cat sighting as he'd heard about it in Taiwan before we knew here, just down the road!.
C and Andy were out there from about 8 am and have just come in (5:30pm). I would have thought that they would be absolutely frozen. In fact it went quiet out there a while ago and I imagined that they had frozen to the brickwork and I would have to go out with some anti-freeze and prise them off. C says he's not too cold, and has gone to take a shower before we go for a Friday Huff with Technophobe and LooseCanon. I shall have to keep nudging him to stay awake.
It was a beautiful day (apart from the cold) and they have got on with the work really well.
