My dog Millie
What is going on in this photo?
This is a picture of my dog when she was just a puppy. This picture was taken when we first brought her home. She is a miniature schnauzer named Millie.
How is this related to a specific human geography concept from the current unit or previous units?
This image is related to an American taboo. Here in America we don't eat dogs. In other cultures it is normal to eat dogs. Here in America we value some animals more than others. In other cultures it is normal to eat dogs. This shows that every culture is different. What might be weird to one culture could be normal in other places.
Link the image to one of the 5 themes of geography with an explanation of how it relates.
This image relates to the human/envoirment interaction. It is related to this theme because it's the way we interact with our animals. We think highly of dogs and think it would've inappropriate to consume them. Other countries that are starving might need to eat these animals. Here in the United States we have enough food so we are not starving. I can't imagine eating a poor dog!
